The self-titled debut album was her debut album featuring country music. It was also the first U.S. platinum certified album. Swift's next albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), explored country pop. The songs "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me" from the former were the first songs to have top of the U.S. all-genre and pop charts. She experimented with rock and electronic styles on Red (2012), which featured the debut Billboard Hot 100 number-one song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and she eschews her traditional image on her synth-pop album 1989 (2014), supported by chart-topping tracks "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Bad Blood". Reputation (2017) was released in 2017 and its number-one song "Look What You Made Me Do", was the result of media scrutiny.


 Swift left Big Machine and signed with Republic Records in 2018. In 2018, Swift released Lover (2019), her seventh studio album. She was followed by Miss Americana (2020), which is a documentary about her autobiography. In her 2020 albums Folklore, Swift ventured into alternative and indie rock. Her songs "Cardigan", "Willow", as well as "Willow," topped the Hot 100. Swift began rerecording six of her albums following a dispute about their masters. In 2021, Swift released two albums: Fearless (Taylor’s) and Red. The longest-running track on the Hot 100 was "All Too Well (10 Minute version)".
