Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer, and activist. Her breakthrough role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fearless (1993). Perez's main roles in films include It Could Happen to You (1994) and The Road to El Dorado(2000), Pineapple Express (2007), as well as Birds of Prey (2018). Perez also earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990-1994) as well as another Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her performance as The Flight Attendant. She has appeared in stage productions on Broadway including The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. She was also the co-host of The View's 18th season on ABC's talk show The View. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, Queens. In 1999 her mother was in poverty in the Woodside Houses, when she died of AIDS-related complications
