Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was an incredibly popular American actress. Her most well-known role was that of her character, Miss Kitty Russell on the TV show "Gunsmoke.' Apart from that, she has appeared in television series such as "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". Additionally, she appeared in many other movies, such as Stars In My Crown, Duchess Of Idaho, Cattle Town, Miss Robin Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba,??High Society? The Boost??. Formerly a telephone operator, Blake was an avid animal enthusiast. She, along with spouse Frank Gilbert, was one of the first humans to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity. American actress Sheila E. Gilbert was a co-founder of Arizona Animal Welfare League. While she was a board member of the Humane Society of the United States Blake is a part of an extensive history. Blake was a member of the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. In addition, the American Cancer Society also gave Blake a Courage Award.
