Guarnaschelli, Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter , is an editor of cookbooks. She completed her studies at Barnard College in 1991 with a degree in art history. She worked for the American Place restaurant for one year for the lowest wage in the year 1991 through the year 1991. Guarnaschelli's first culinary experiences began while watching her mother test numerous recipes at home while editing books. Guarnaschelli was a chef under Larry Forgione (whose son is Iron Chef Marc Forgione), and later at various eateries in France, New York and Los Angeles, including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Guarnaschelli also worked for Daniel Boulud's eponymous restaurant and Joachim Splichal's Patina prior to becoming the executive chef of Butter. Before its closure it was her job to be an executive chef at the Darby. She serves as chairperson of the Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli has released her first book in the year 2013. "Old School Comfort Food: My Way of Learning to cook" comprises the author's autobiographical details and her favorite recipes that Guarnaschelli has adapted from her work experience.
