Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's story combines football scholarship for his parents and a commitment to the community. The first line of his family was that Selmon is the eldest of nine kids raised within Eufala with Lucious Selmon. In second football, he was the third brother who were players for Oklahoma. The three brothers were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey was a starter for the entire 1973 season. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's most effective lineman. During his three years as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma The Sooners recorded a 32-1-1 record and won two national championships. In 1975, the National Football Foundation named him as a Scholar-Athlete three times time in the year 1975. Selmon graduated with a degree from the university of California, Berkeley. Lee Roy's fourth time of service consisted of ten hours a week in volunteer work during the college. After graduation, he landed in Tampa playing nine years for the Buccaneers played an all-pro three times before beginning his business career. In 1988, as an account representative at First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized him as one of Ten of America's top young males. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 7-foot-2. While he was in college, he commanded the team of 1975. In 1993 he joined at the University of South Florida as associate director of athletics. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame recognized the player on the 28th of October, the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. Parents, Lucious and Mary Selmon Jr. received the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation.
